Federation of Indian Muslim Associations (FIMA) hosted a warm reception to bid adieu to H.E. Mr. Ajai Malhotra – Ambassador of India to Kuwait, who is leaving to Russian Federation for his new assignment after the successful completion of diplomatic mission in the State of Kuwait.
An all India level significant adieu conducted by FIMA along with its 14 members associations, held at Ramada Hotel Kuwait on Friday, 29th April 2011.
The event started with recitation of versus from Holy Qur’an by FIMA Treasurer Muneer Ahmed and presided by FIMA President Siddeeque Valiyakath.
Leaders of organizations including Eng. Mukhtar Marouf - FWS, Haris Aydeed – Firday forum, Mohammed Hanif – CIWS, Salim Desai– CTMWS, Mohammed Manshauddin – HMWA, Dr. Naeemuddin – IMWA, Faisal Manjeri – KIG, Sharafuddin Kanneth – KKMCC, TP Abdul Aziz – KKIC, Hoshdar Khan – MC, Khalil Adoor – MES, Avoor Basheer – TMCA , Dr. Amir and Karim Irfan – patrons of FIMA recalled numerous occasions in which Ambassador put in extraordinary efforts to help the community and solve their problems.
They recalled the generosity, participation, guidance wherever it demands and he conquered the hearts of people from all walks of life during this short span of time. The enormous changes made in the consular services and innovative initiatives taken to support the people will be remembered by the community. The shelter made for the domestic servants will be a living example of the care and consideration of Ambassador to weaker section of the community. Moreover, the high level visits of Indian leaders after 45 years of gap organized by Ambassador cemented the existing excellent relation with India and Kuwait. Popularly known as ‘people’s Ambassador’ HE Ajai Malhotra will be fondly remembered by the Indian community in Kuwait.
All speakers expressed their sincere thanks and gratitude in an emotionally filled platform and wished him and family all success in their future endeavors.
President Siddeeque Valiyakath presented FIMA memento as a token of love and appreciation to Ambassador.
The program started with welcome speech by Masood Quadri – FIMA secretary general and concluded with vote of thanks by FIMA treasurer Muneer Ahmed.
